Patricia Yepremian moved to California in 2008, and during a drive home discovered the beautiful Historic District of Hemet. It seemed quiet... not much excitement and she thought “How great to have such a historic area to develop and bring the people together”. After months of shopping at the local markets she discovered that they were sitting in the midst of farms, orchards, ranches, etc. What a great place for a farmer's market!

She presented her ideas to the City and with their guidance, began planning for the Hemet Farmers Market in the Historic District of Hemet. After visiting many markets in Southern California she spoke with vendors who needed another location for their products to be sold. On October 24, 2009, the Hemet Farmers market became a reality. With twenty or so vendors, the Hemet Farmers Market was presented to the town. It was quite an endeavor, but we're happy to say that within 2 months, the market has grown to 80+ vendors. Since then, the market has gladly become a place for all ages to gather, spend a few hours shopping, listen to music and visit with neighbors.
